Things I Love

An extension of my ongoing TikTok series

If you follow me on TikTok, you’ve likely seen one of my ‘Things I love’ carousel posts which are a roundup of the things I’ve been loving recently. I know, shocking. I figured that series could live here too. Still digestible and to the point.

1. White overalls

   I had been looking for a pair for a while and after some trial and error I finally found the right ones. They’re the perfect length on me (I’m 5’9). Not too baggy, not too tight.

2. Monogrammed toiletry bag

   Few things bring me more joy than a good toiletry bag. I’m not always into monogrammed things, but for a toiletry bag I’ll make an exception. I also love that this one is lined, so it makes for very easy clean up when things inevitably spill in transit. I also love and religiously use this set, seen in the back of the photo.

3. Packable hat

   I always reach for a straw hat over a baseball cap in summer. I love this one, especially because it’s foldable, and therefore packable, so you’re not forced to wear it through the airport to prevent creases.

4. Danielle wrap sandal

   If you didn’t know, I have a shoe collection called Lenore by Matisse (more on this soon), and these sandals are one of the five styles in the line. I personally love a wrap sandal with shorts or a dress, so naturally I had made one. These are a beautiful brown suede, and they also come in ivory leather. Can’t go wrong with either if you ask me.

5. My new picture frame (sorry no link)

   I bought this frame at the Santa Monica flea market when I went with my mom and sister. It was $15 and the only thing I scored. These photos of my fiancé and I, and me with my family, from the day of our engagement couldn’t be more perfect in it.

6. Brown accessories

   How many brown accessories is too many? The limit does not exist... No, but really, brown is my favorite color to wear. Always has been and always will be. It’s a warmer alternative to black and complements my skin tone/hair color, so I naturally gravitate toward it. Which means I own a lot of brown things. So why not wear them all together?

   Here I’m wearing my favorite Lisa Yang sweater (very on sale so run), a vintage suede Chanel bag, my trusty Jimmy Fairly sunglasses, the Lee sandal from my Lenore collection (restocking end of June/early July), and a vintage Gucci belt I found on TRR.

   

   Also this top is a good one for summer

   

7. My new lamp

   We were given a Crate and Barrel gift card as a housewarming gift when we first moved in together. We just got around to using it and bought this lamp (on sale today only)! I’m loving it, especially the dimmer because good lighting really is everything.

   

   

8. Oh this old thing???

   It’s been three weeks since this ring appeared on my finger and I still can’t get over it. I get excited every time I look down. Both because I’m marrying my high school boyfriend, and because the ring is absolutely perfect. Even more special because it was designed and made by my sister, Jenna Katz. If you’re lucky, you know her and the amazing work she does.

   

   

9. This vintage Calvin Klein evening bag

   I originally bought this to wear to my best friend’s wedding, but continue to reach for it even after (which is usually how I shop - I’m not big on one-occasion purchases). I don’t have a link to the exact one, but this, this, this and this are all cute alternatives.

   

10. Isla Skincare

    Everything they make is great, but I especially love the day melt and elixir. Cute packaging doesn’t hurt either.

11. Strapless tops

    I find strapless tops to be very flattering on my body type, so when the weather permits, I always gravitate toward them. Whether it’s a tight one like this (also in black), or a looser one like this, they both do the job and are in heavy rotation throughout the summer.
